"DAYS END" - Yangon. At the famous Shwedagon Pagoda, monks come to practice their English with visitors. I spoke with these two monks long after the sun had set.

"BURMA BOATS" - Inle Lake. Market day on the lake causes a traffic jam at the riverside.

"BIKE AND SLIPPERS" - Bagan. Wooden slippers used in the monsoon season are carried to market on three wheel cycles.

"MORNING ALMS" - Bagan. Monks walk through the local village at sunrise to receive alms of curry and rice from the locals. Donating to the monks and their needs builds merit for the lay persons reincarnation.

"SILK SPOOLS" - Inle Lake. In northeastern Myanmar, Inle Lake is a known for ancient aqua gardens and lotus reed silk. Thousands of reeds are harvested to weave a scarf length of silk.

"TEMPLES FIELDS" - Bagan. As far as the eye can see, the landscape of the ancient capital of Myanmar boasts over 4000 pagodas and stupas. (Transfer to web with pink cast, actual photo with correct color)

"TOUCHING LIGHT" - Bagan. In a private pagoda, the annual 1000 candle ceremony honors Buddha.

"YANGON BUDDHA" - Yangon. The porcelain depiction of Buddha favors the feminine side of the deity.
